Heaven help me, a Mac person, I need to buy a new laptop and move my desktop version of Studio to it. I know zilch about laptops. The only thing I'd use it for is watching movies in my workroom and Studio.
Are there system requirements I need to look for? I did look in FAQ's and previous posts...

I replied to an email, but forgot to update this post.

Any PC with the memory and hard drive space to run games will work for Studio.

I didn't see your screenshot earlier. That screenshot means you accidentally copied a space at the beginning or end of your serial number. Always note the first and last character to make sure it pastes the whole number.

You don't have to remove Studio from your old computer; however, do NOT activate it on the old computer because it will use a license.

It shouldn't have defaulted back to a 30-day trial. Do you think you could have accidentally copied a space when you copied the serial number? Try opening Studio again and pasting the serial number. Make SURE you see the first and last character displayed in your serial number....

I just tried entering my serial number NOT in OFFLINE mode and it seems to have activated it...but it has defaulted to 30 days (per the popup window)...do i need to worry about it expiring

Also...do I need to do anything on my old laptop to deactivate that instance of the software?

I cleared your licenses. Try to activate again. I think you were over the limit when you tried to activate with the serial number. You will be able to activate on two computers now.
