  • Computers ~ NEW COMPUTER - not able to re-install MM to new laptop

I have a new laptop and found the directions here (Forum) on how to re-install MM on my new computer. I think that I was able to download the program, but the MM icon never appeared on my desktop. So I went to my downloaded files and tried to open up "the MM download" there and received an "ERROR" notice that my laptop couldn't open this program. I attached the notice.

I'm hoping that it's not my laptop. But, in the event that it may be - I've also attached the Tech Specs for it.

Maybe I'm not installing this correctly?? I'm not 100% confident about my installation abilities. I didn't go over to my old laptop and uninstall it. Should I be doing that?
Any guidance and answers would be much appreciated.
    Thankyou - Barclay

Did you check your download folder?

Not sure why the error says it can’t install the app when Studio is not an app it is a software.

Thankyou Debbie! I went back in and tried again and restarted my computer...and POOF! Its installed and working! So, not sure what I did incorrectly before, but I'm happy it's downloaded. I appreciate it.

I was provided a new computer last week after my last one died. I seem to be having trouble getting MM on my new computer. I had it for 2 days after I went to your website and clicked on the DOWNLOAD THE LATEST VERSION STUDIO and then put the serial number in the field in the popup box. Today I don't have it. I think I may have deactivated something. How do I go about getting it back on? Is it a license situation? My co-worker also has MM on her computer as we have 2 licenses.
    Thank you for any assistance!

    Hi Anna,
My name is Laura; I am having the same issue as my coworker. I got a new computer. And when I try to open Minutes Matter, I enter the same serial number she used, I get a message saying the amount of licenses is limited. Are you able to help me with this.

Hi Laura, I am showing that both licenses have been activated. I can delete them both and then you can activate one and Susan can activate the other one.

Once Anna has cleared your licenses, you will be able to log into your CustomerHub account and get your serial number. Make sure when you copy your serial number you don’t accidentally copy a space. If a space is accidentally copied, you will receive an error message saying invalid format..

I just tried it and am getting the same message. How will I know when the license has been cleared?

I logged into our activation center and cleared your licenses again. You only have two licenses. If you have trouble activating, let us know exactly what the error message says.

Hi, also needing our license reset. New computer, the old one completely dead. The amount of licenses is limited. We tried emailing about this with no response. Thanks, Debbie Frieler.
