  • Perspective transformaton in Irfanview

I'm trying to add a rug to a rendering. I changed the perspective, but can't get rid of the black on either side of the rug when I crop it. I changed the main window color on Irfanview to white, but it still shows up as black.

try resizing it and saving it with a new name
you did save it as a GIF file and check the transparency box - right?

            try this
it looks like it has a black background here but I'm hoping it will come through transparent as it did when I imported it into my studio program

It's transparent when I click on it also. Any idea why it won't work for me? Are there other settings on the perspectives page I might have wrong?

Linda, in the final step you have to change the image type to GIF, and then you will be able to pick the color to turn transparent. Changing the image type to a GIF is the most common reason why the black doesn't turn transparent.

Glad you got it to work! Thanks for posting on the forum. This will help others having this issue.

The perspective video is posted on the homepage of the forum.
