  • How To's ~ Savings Custom Colors

You may have noticed that when working on a project over several days, you lose the custom colors you've saved. Here's a fix: add a plain square using the rectangle tool, fill with your custom color, and park it off to the side. Then you'll always have that color when you open the file again. See attached kitchen rendering in progress.

Corollary tip: do you know how to save more than one custom color? I couldn't find that we covered that in any of the mini-clips, so here's a visual and the steps. Select your color using the eyedropper tool. Open custom colors where you'll see the RGB values on the top right. Click on an empty white box to add the new color, and then type in the RGB numbers. Click Add to Custom Colors. Of course, as I said previously, those colors will not appear when you reopen the file.

Yes, that's right we don't have a mini clip for that tip!
