  • How many designers specialize in formal and/or historical treatments?

Merlyn touched on this subject in a previous post. Just curious as to the types of window treatments you're seeing in your area?

The Mid-West was once tradition & formal, swags & tails, now leans towards tailored panels, roman shades, shutters & wood blinds. But we're still more on the traditional side.
    What are you seeing??

In the Nashville area, we also lean toward tailored panels, roman shades and I recommend shutters, woven woods, roller shades, duettes or silhouettes for hard treatments. I think clients are definitely wanting a simpler look.

I do roller shades in a ton of homes along with 2-inch wood blinds. Duets are not something I have put in the last 3 years.
