alter headboard.png Select the headboard closest to your desired shape. Ungroup and remove all the extraneous bits. Click on the edit points icon, move the edit points to change the shape. You may find it useful to toggle on the graph paper and make the shape transparent to check for symmetry. It's also possible to use the Close Bezier tool to draw a simple shape. Watch the mini-clip from the Customer Hub if you haven't tried it before.
No, that trim can't be ungrouped - it's drawn all of a piece. Two options: fill in around the tassel trim on the original design by selecting one piece and adding it in between existing tassels (top of sketch) or import an image of the real trim and photo clip it, then duplicate until you've completed the design. Both tedious, I'd go with the first method. Do one of each section (after you have filled the color and changed the line color) one swag, one horn, one cascade; then duplicate for the number needed. Add a photo of the real deal to your finished drawing.

I am recently having trouble with Irfan View. I open a color file and crop it but when I save it it turns black and white. What can I do to get it to save in color again?
just seeing this now after having no power for 2.5 days due to frigid temps, snow and freezing rain and "rolling" blackouts (ha! - they rolled right over us!) - do we live in south texas????
I don't recall the grayscale thing but you may be right
