  • Color Blocking ~ Banding

Here are some tips on color blocking a drapery in Studio. I searched for a design that I could move the bands the width I needed. I ungrouped a pinch pleated drapery panel and took just the pleats to add to the top and to have available in case i wanted pinch pleated drapes. Once I have all the components I grouped and added to my custom tab in case I need this treatment again.

Here is a second option to insert a color block on a drapery panel by using the Photo Clip Tool.
    1. Drag over desired drapery design or top treatment.
    2. Drag over the same design again ~ delete all hardware and second panel.
    3. Fill the first image with fabric or solid color.
    4. Fill the second image with fabric or solid color.
    5. Zoom in on the second image and use the Photo Clip to carefully trace/clip the section you want to color block.
    6. Once you have Photo Clip the section delete the drapery panel.
    7. Place the Photo Clipped section on top of the first image and align the two images.
    8. Use the Polyline tool to create a welting and change the color of the line and thickness.
    9. Next group the Photo Clip and the welting and duplicate and flip to place on the other drapery panel.
