  • How To's ~ Use Studio's Mirror Tool to Duplicate an Image

The Mirror tool is an easy way to create the exact same treatment on two windows. Using this tool will create a duplicate the same height, size and the exact distance from the center point without the use of additional tools.

    Step One (design):
Create a finished design which should include the window, treatments, trim, hardware, etc.

    Step Two (locate the center):
1Use a Dimension Line to locate the center point between the two treatments. Select the Dimension Tool, press the Shift Key, click, hold & drag on the workspace to draw a horizontal line. Release the click to end the line; the dimension will instantly display. Right click on the Dimension Line to type in the exact width.

Step Three (mirror - center line):
Select the finished design > press the Mirror tool > a red center line with a green cross hair at the top & bottom will appear > click, hold, & drag the center line to the end of the dimension line.

Step Four (mirror – dragging edit points):
Once the Mirror center line is positioned > click on any of the edit points surrounding the original design, your cursor will turn into a twin rectangle > press the CTRL KEY while clicking & dragging the edit point to the side to create the duplicate image. The duplicate image will be positioned according to the placement of the center line.

Note: A duplicate will only be created by holding down the CTRL Key. If you do not press this key when dragging the edit point, the image will flip to the other side. You can only create a duplicate if you hold down the CTRL Key while dragging the edit point.
